So 2016 was the year the UK voted to leave the EU and Donald Trump became the president of America. It was up and down to say the least. If nothing else, I’ve realised that I am so guilty of moaning about such pointless things. I’ve decided that my goal for 2017 is make the most of every moment and take a step back to realise how lucky I am. So what better way to start the year than with a post of things I am grateful for?
#1. Clean water. I may have mentioned once or twice me and Adam are going travelling this year. It absolutely shocked me how many countries don’t have clean drinking water on tap.
#2. My lovely little flat.
#3. My big comfy bed.
#4. Adam. I mean, that man puts up with LOTS of my shit.
#5. My health.
#6. Food. Food glorious food.
#7. A good job. We all moan and groan about work don’t we? Office politics sometimes get the better of us but sometimes you gotta take a step back and realise how lucky you are to have a job at all.
#8. Choice. Millions of women in the world don’t have any choice in what happens with their life. Who they marry, where they live, a career path.
#9. Pyjamas. Cos if you don’t get into your Pyjamas the second you get home what on earth are you doing?
#10. My beautiful dog. Ok, Adam and I don’t actually have a dog but we have a beautiful family dog Spike who lives with my mum & sister.
#11. Discovering vegetarian jelly sweeties. Marks and Spencer’s you beauty’s.
#12. That I am happy to enjoy my own company. I used to dread spending the evening on my own.
#13. My utterly bonkers grandparents.
#14. Wet rainy miserable Sunday afternoons when you can just snuggle on the sofa watching movies with no responsibility.
