My favourite things about Madrid: ✈️ A

My favourite things about Madrid:

✈️ A quick and stress free journey from home - hotel. Just a 1 hour 40 flight from London, followed by a quick metro journey that dropped us right at the door of a central hotel.

🚶🏻‍♀️The city is so walkable. I love a break where you can explore on foot and Madrid certainly ticks that box.

🧀 Amazing food and drinks. Food is such a huge part of the culture in Spain so the restaurants and cafes didn't dissapoint. So much cheese, meat and wine was consumed on this trip. @mercadosanmiguel is a great place to spend an afternoon sampling the delights and watching the world go by.

🇪🇸 A chance to practise my (pretty terrible) Spanish. Although there was a few mishaps, on the whole it was a great success and everyone was so helpful.

🌳It is a super green city. there are beautiful parks hidden all over Madrid. Of course, there is the famous El Retiro Park which is a must visit, but there are many more modest green spaces all over the city.
