Exploring some of the worlds most famous street art -Penang, Malaysia.

Penang in Malaysia is the greatest place you can ever visit. Okay, maybe a slight exaggeration but words cannot express how much I loved it here in George Town. The town just had a fantastic vibe that I’ve not felt anywhere else. One of my favourite things about Penang is the diverse mix of people. There’s a mix of Malay, Indian and Chinese people making for a wonderful mix of festivals, buildings, religion and food. & Let me tell you something about that food, it is simply delicious, and DIRT cheap! I’m talking a three course meal for less than you’d pay for a sandwich in the UK. There are buskers on every street corner and handmade lanterns hanging between the cobbled alleys. The diverse mix of people has led to some pretty spectacular architecture, yet as most of the buildings do not venture over 3 stories high it doesn’t feel intrusive or suffocating. The beautiful buildings combined with the street art literally create an instagrammers dream. There’s just something so unique and exciting about seeing the fantastic art on pretty much every street corner, and watching children and adults alike pose for the all important photographs.  There isn’t a drinking culture in Penang, similar to the rest of the country. Obviously, if you want a party you will find it but it’s not the kind of place where there’s a nightclub on every corner. Board games and cups of tea was the nights entertainment and let me tell you, it was fantastic.
