Burgers and Beers at Bungalows and Bears.

If you’re familiar with Sheffield you will undoubtedly know Bungalows and Bears, a bar situated right in the centre of hipsterville on Division Street. Bungalows and Bears’ interior is just as quirky as its name. Situated in an Old Fire Station, with massive open windows and large comfy sofas to relax in. The mix match of decor; bare brick and neon lights, create just the right atmosphere. Whether your looking to chill with some food and a beer, or bust out a few moves after a lemonade or two – this place has got you covered.

Having closed at the beginning of November, the bar reopened just a few weeks later after a subtle facelift, just in time for the party season to begin. Bungalows and bears treated us to performances from the New York Brass Band and the Sheffield University Samba band which were both completely unique and really knew how to entertain the crowd.

Alongside a wide range of spirits, cocktails and beers – Bungalows and Bears has a mouth watering food menu consisting of burgers, nachos and salads. There are plenty of veggie options on the menu and we were given a taster of a couple of the burgers which were fantastic, the ‘Shroomaloomi’ being a personal favourite – Mushroom and Halloumi in a brioche bun.

What I like most about this bar, is the variety that it offers. Be that with regards the décor, the drink or the entertainment. This in turn attracts a varied clientele which makes for a fun and interesting visit – something I feel many bars fail to achieve.
