Grind Cafe, Kelham Island, Sheffield.

Looking for a fab lunch/brunch/coffee spot in Sheffield then look no further than Grind at Kelham Island.

It’s a really cosy little café and the staff are all super friendly and helpful. There’s a board up behind the till with all of the day’s menu (I believe it changes daily) and all the freshly made puds are out on the counter, just in case you needed any convincing. If you are into coffee you will seriously love this place, the coffee’s here are to DIE for and they also have a really wide range of teas. They have also recently got an alcohol license so if you’re a prosecco with your eggs kinda girl then this might just become your new fave.

We sat outside as it was a beautiful, yet freezing, December afternoon. We started with a couple of hot drinks, I had a hot Choccie (it is nearly Christmas after all) and Adam went for a latte. For mains I opted for a butternut squash wellington and Adam went for a pork sausage roll. Before I ditched eating meat I had tried one of their famous sausage rolls and as much as it now pains me to say it they are absolutely amazing. We also shared a plate of mixed salad which consisted of a sweet potato & rocket, creamy coleslaw & a chickpea salad. It was absolutely delicious.

Obviously no lunch date is complete without dessert. I went for a blueberry and pine nut crumble and Adam had the Christmas pudding brownie. We actually ended up sharing the desserts between us as I had some serious food envy over his dessert. You know those brownies that are so moist (soz for the use of that word) that they just stick in your teeth? Yes, this was it.

All in all, I would 100% recommend Grind café fab atmosphere, great coffee & even better food.
